The surfaces were tacky , and a pungent odor of old alcohol and neglected washrooms suffused the entire bar . Reeking of a mixture of urine , putrefaction and illness . The bar area , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and litter that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The lavatory was in even a more revolting state — backed up, with a shattered handle and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

Many patrons have reported spotting critters darting across the serving surface and signs of rats in the basement . For a business that serves drinks , these issues are utterly disgraceful and raise serious concerns about the sanitation of their offerings.

During my time there, I noticed how distressed several women at the bar seemed around Cornwell. As I looked into it more , I was stunned to find allegations against him here involving sexual harassment , with multiple women citing incidents of harassing them digitally. Described as overly aggressive and inappropriate , his behavior has created an unwelcoming setting for women who visit Masterson’s. His presence at the bar often appeared as that of a lurking threat than a friendly owner .
